In the last few years navigation devices have made some major changes that more compact than ever. One of those changes is The Garmin GPS 76 Marine Friendly Receiver. It’s small (W x H x D, 2.7 in. x 6.2 in. x 1.2 in and only 7.7 oz).

This Garmin Handheld GPS system has high technology, which accounts for the systems 3 meter accuracy range. It has a large display screen (1.6 in. x 2.2 in), level 4 gray LCD uses 180 x 240 pixels.

This Garmin Handheld GPS Receiver can interface with your home computer or your travel laptop, using a serial cable. And the system allows you to input up to 500 different points of interest, which will mark stores, lodging, and your campsite, as well as the place you parked. It’s equipped with worldwide maps of cities, streets, and marine navigation aids. You can input 50 different routes on one of 10 saved tracks, which also allow you to input 2,048 points of interest. And the great benefit of this GPS is completely waterproof.

The Garmin GPS 76 Marine Friendly Receiver is great for hunters and fishermen. It has a built in celestial data, includes a calendar and tide information. You can pinpoint your exact location as the screen shows a dotted trail straight to you, if your friend also has one of the Garmin Handheld GPS Receiver. If you are entered in a race or fishing tournament you can activate the timer from the easy access side buttons, and the timer will begin counting down.
